The Michelin Porsche Club and Porsche Open rounds at Castle Combe last weekend saw some excellent close racing and some great results. We had a fantastic battle in the Open race between Chamberlain and Lewin. Both cars ran without fault with the result down to sheer determination and swift passing of back markers. Well done to Richard Chamberlain on the win, but watch out as Rupert's got his eye on that trophy! The Porsche Club results were shaped by penalties. Tony Brown had a disappointing end to his run of success with Broster taking the win due to Brown getting a 10 second penalty for a false start and Mike Salmon finished an unlucky 13th, after starting from 2nd on the grid, when he received a stop / go penalty for corner cutting. Also Richard Lambert saw his third on the road and class 2 lead lost with a stop / go penalty for clipping a marker.
A big thank you to drivers who have already submitted post race reports, they make great reading. If you keep meaning to send a race report but haven't done it yet... why not drop us a line now! |
