If you can't beat them, join them 06.08.03 During the Michelin Porsche Open double-header event at Snetterton last weekend, Henry Firman chased the tail of Team GVR's Peter Morris who took a double Class 3 win. Firman has now brought his 911virgin.com sponsored 993 to be prepared by Gordon Wardle at Team GVR. "Henry has huge potential" comments Wardle, "he just needs the car to be right and I'm sure he'll exploit it. I believe Team GVR can bring out the full potential in the car and the driver". | |

Howells set track record at Curborough 09.08.03 Paul Howells took an outstanding win in the Porsche Club Sprint Championship at Curborough this weekend, smashing the circuits Porsche Club track record by a second with his time of 60.7 seconds. "I won by 1.4 seconds over Colin Belton, who has 400 bhp" said Howells, "Gordon's set up is fantastic. It was so hot this weekend that the dampers expanded and we made a small change to compensate for this, which others didn't".
