Team GVR's new apprentice race engineer Richard Lill was officially baptised into the team today, when Henry 'Rookie of the Year' Firman took him out for a few laps of the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit at the end of testing.
With less than two weeks in the job, Richard was ecstatic to be given the opportunity to go out as Henry's passenger in his Porsche GT3. Richard commented afterwards: "I couldn't believe it. We were going down Hanger Straight at 145 mph when Henry changed up into 5th, my head hit the back of the seat as we hurtled towards 160 mph! A big thank you to Henry - it was a real eye opener!"
Team manager Gordon Wardle added: "I'm really pleased to welcome Richard to the Team and he's already proving to be a real asset".
